This Privacy Policy explains how BATCH (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the BATCH mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Names, contact information, photos, private messages, and other private or directly identifying information are removed or irreversibly altered.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in these limited situations:

With Batchers: Relevant profile information needed to facilitate matches (Batchers are volunteers and are bound by confidentiality expectations).

With other users: Information you choose to share in your profile or through messages.

Service providers: Companies that help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, customer support, payment processing), under contracts that require them to protect your data.

Legal and safety reasons: When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BATCH, our users, or others.

Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (your information would remain subject to privacy protections).

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information longer if required for legal, safety, or legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our Terms). When we no longer need personal information, we delete or anonymize it.

Anonymized research data may be retained indefinitely because it can no longer identify you.

The Service is currently focused on users in Utah and surrounding areas. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version and update the “Last Updated” date.
