You can delete your BATCH account at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it. This page explains both ways to do it, what gets deleted, and what we keep.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open BATCH and go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap Delete Forever.
Your account and its data are removed immediately and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
Ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, email support@batch.site from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number you signed up with so we can find it.
You do not need an account, or the app, to make this request. We will confirm once it is done.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Your profile — name, date of birth, gender, photos, bio, interests, beliefs, dating preferences, and location
- Your lifestyle answers and any note you wrote for Batchmakers
- Every message you sent and the conversations they belong to
- Your matches, and any matches you made for other people as a Batchmaker
- Identity verification documents, including any government ID or selfie you submitted
- Your login credentials and active sessions
What we keep, and why
- Anonymised and aggregated data. Statistics that can no longer identify you — for example how many dates were completed in a month — remain in our records. They contain no name, contact detail, photo, or message content.
- Records we are legally required to keep. Where the law requires us to retain something — most importantly reports of child sexual abuse and exploitation, which we must preserve and report — we keep that record for as long as the law requires, and no longer.
- Payment and subscription records. Transactions are held by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us, and are subject to their retention rules and to tax and accounting law.
Cancelling a subscription is separate
Deleting your BATCH account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and only the store can cancel them.
- Google Play: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → BATCH → Cancel
- Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BATCH → Cancel
Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account, or you may continue to be charged.
